Metro-North lines is now reporting limited service with delays of up to an hour on its lines after all its lines suspended service late Tuesday afternoon during the height of the quick-moving severe line of storms.

Metro-North suspended service on all its lines late Tuesday afternoon as heavy thunderstorms with damaging winds that brought down trees moved through the area.
"Service is currently suspended to ensure customer safety during the course of the thunderstorms in our service area and multiple downed trees," Metro-North said in a statement. "Trains en route will remain at stations until further notice."
Metro-North is advising customers to listen for announcements at local stations.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for the area is due to expire at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. A Flood Advisory was issued at 4 p.m. and will expire at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Tornado warnings issued in parts of the area expired late in the afternoon.
